I write things. Also, I post pictures of things. Like my kid and Colin Firth. Not the two of them together but, like, separately and OHMYGOD HOW HAVE YOU NOT HIT THE FOLLOW BUTTON ALREADY?!?!?

One brave thing. I may have put make-up on so the other Story Time mommies wouldn’t judge me. It’s a public library, but it’s a public library in South Beach, home of cellphone queens and silicone dreams. I may have plucked my eyebrows too, in case I meet someone. In case another mommy shows an interest in being my friend. Because Brandon needs friends. He needs a social life and play dates and OH MY GOD WHAT IF HE GROWS UP A PARIAH BECAUSE HIS MOM’S EYEBROWS LOOK LIKE CATERPILLARS?!? “Try decaf.” Funny how something said by someone in passing can stay with you. “Try decaf,” I tell myself now, every time I start flipping out for no reason. If you can’t deal with your issues, you can at least laugh at them. Brandon did great at Story Time. We even made a couple of friends. Nice friends. His social future is safe for now. On the way out it rained. I got soaked. He stayed dry. I’m good mommy. With really nice eyebrows.
